They have quickly become very popular with lighting designers and lighting specifiers, because of their high colour rendition, low glare, wide choice of accessories and maintainability.

Track Spotlights

Lighting designers always tend to want fittings that are slightly tweaked to their own specification. I can quickly adapt existing fittings to incorporate changes to suit their specific needs.

I most enjoy special projects that we undertake with Architects, Lighting Designers and Artists. We help them bring their concepts to life with our know how of manufacturing methods, light sources and materials.

I have gained a lot of experience in metalwork fabrication through special projects, as we try to offer clients a complete solution.

Side Projects

I was approached to help in the fabrication of an imitation Brick Phone, which was to feature at an Art Exhibition in Brick Lane. The Brick Phone was an exciting venture for me outside of work because it was such a nostalgic and cool project to work on.

I was given the task of translating the dimensions of an actual aerial, into an engineering drawing so that it would be decipherable by CNC turners. Mild Steel was chosen so that when it began to tarnish and rust, would fit in with the industrial look of the piece.

The Product Design course I took at University, gave me the opportunity to design in different mediums. And it also taught me the importance of user centred design, market analysis, and material properties.

University Projects – Shoe Design

This Project was commissioned by Pentland Brands. The challenge was to design a high street sandal with a ‘Green’ twist.

Key features:

• An Eco-Friendly, Animal free, and cruelty free sandal.
• Three component manufacture, with interchangeable coloured soles.
• The natural rubber sole will biodegrade after disposal.

University Projects – Furniture Design

Unto This Last is a London based shop that has onsite digital CNC facilities for made to order furniture. Their ethos of local craftsmanship at mass production prices was the basis of our project brief.

Key features:

• A modular, flat pack, illuminating side table.
• Fits 6 units, on to a 1/6 Birch Plywood sheet.
• Interference fit joints for simple batch assembly.

Anime Character Design

I really enjoy Japanese Anime and have been asked on a few occasions to design custom illustrations for people, but have also drawn some in my own time just to see if I can.
